This Christmas holiday, the University of Cambridge is proud to present Professor Chris Bishop and his ‘Secrets of the Web’. This feast of exciting computer science experiments will form the first part of three new annual Marshall’s holiday lectures that will engage and inspire children and adults alike. In the first lecture, Professor Chris Bishop will use explosions, lasers and a dash of superconductor levitation all in the name of dispelling the myths that surround computer science.

Professor Christopher Bishop is highly recognised in his field of academia. He is the Chief of Research Science at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, as well as a Professor of Computer Science at Edinburgh University. He is also a regular lecturer for the Royal Institution’s Christmas lectures.
